Lincoln Park Stadium Roof Project

Lincoln Park Stadium Roof Project

WHAT IS THE LINCOLN PARK STADIUM ROOF PROJECT?
Presently, Lincoln Park Stadium seating on the main grandstand is uncovered. A roof structure would cover all seats on the main grandstand, protecting spectators from rain and other weather elements, and providing shade from sunlight.

Lincoln Park Stadium attracts approximately 50,000 visitors a year for Pacific University events and other community activities. Home athletic contests featuring the university’s football, lacrosse, soccer and track & field teams are played at the stadium, which also serves as the site of spring commencement exercises. Covered seating will enhance the stadium’s candidacy for hosting revenue-generating events, including but not limited to music concerts and Oregon School Activities Association events.

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED COST AND GOAL FOR COMPLETION?
The Lincoln Park Stadium Roof Project is expected to cost around $1 million. Pacific University has
established a goal completion date for the project to be mid-to-late August 2014. As of Oct. 2013, more than $400,000 has been raised.
