NEWBERG, Ore. – The Pacific track & field teams concluded their season with three meets over the past two weekends. The highlight of the competitions was
Jacob DuVall (Moses Lake, Wash.) breaking the school record in the discus throw with a mark of 47.93m (157-3) at the Portland Twilight Meet on Friday. DuVall also competed at the Oregon Twlight on Friday, May 4 and the Linfield Open on Saturday, May 5 and had marks of 45.14m (148-1) and 47.21m (154-11) respectively.

Josh Huffman (Puyallup, Wash.) and
Karen Du (Santa Clarita, Calif.) also competed at all three meets. Huffman set a personal best in the discus at the Oregon Twilight with a mark of 46.61m (152-11). That mark is third best in Pacific history. He also threw 46.54m (152-8) and 45.82m (150-4) at Linfield and Portland. He had shot put marks of 14.58m (47-10) and 14.65m (48-0.75) at Oregon and Portland. Du competed in the shot put and discus throw at all three meets. At Oregon she threw 12.07m (39-7.25) and 38.60m (126-8). At Linfield she threw 11.22m (36-9.75) and 40.15m (131-9). At Portland she threw 12.41m (40-8.75) and 40.81m (133-11).

Jason Draper (Novato, Calif.) and
Dianna Church (Bothell, Wash.) both competed in the hammer throw at Oregon and Linfield. Draper had bests of 50.07m (164-3) and 48.19m (158-1) while Church threw 42.31m (138-10) and 43.00m (141-1).

Brynna Close (Riverside, Calif.) competed in the pole vault at Linfield. She jumped 3.16m (10-4.25).
