FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Boxer track & field teams honored their eleven seniors during their Lu'au Invitational on Saturday.  The five senior women are 
Dianna Church (Bothell, Wash.), 
Shannon Hammond (Forest Grove, Ore.), 
Jess Knoll (Arlee, Mont.), 
Stephenie Spencer (Bothell, Wash.) and 
Emily Sproul (Salem, Ore.).  The six senior men are 
Kyle Eisenbeis (Bothell, Wash.), 
Zach Hewson (Salem, Ore.), 
Brian King (Los Angeles, Calif.), 
Logan Naegeli (Trout Creek, Mont.), 
Chase Patterson (Burns, Ore.) and 
Nick Ungermann (Westlake Village, Calif.).
 
The athletic highlight of the meet was 
Kolby Nikolaisen breaking the Pacific record in the pole vault.  He broke his own record that he set two weeks ago by 2 cm with a jump of 4.77m (15-7.75).
 
The Invitational featured two teams besides the Boxers (Corban and Multnomah) along with a number of club and unattached athletes.  Pacific won the meet with 256 points on the women's side and 221 points on the men's.  The women won 15 individual events. 
Marissa Smith (Rancho Cordova, Calif.) won the 200 meters, 
Megan Eberhardt (Gig Harbor, Wash.) won the 400 meters, Knoll won the 800 meters, Spencer won the 5000 meters, Hammond won the 100 hurdles, high jump and triple jump, 
Audrey Lincoln (Hermiston, Ore.) won the 400 hurdles, 
Airel Farley (Glide, Ore.) won the steeplechase, 
Brynna Close (Riverside, Calif.) won the pole vault, 
Karen Du (Santa Clarita, Calif.) won the shot put and discus throw, Church won the hammer throw, Eberhardt, Lincoln, 
Candice Nkoy (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Smith won the 4 x 100 and Eberhardt, Knoll, Smith and Lincoln won the 4 x 400.  The men won six individual events.  
Garrett Price (Medford, Ore.) won the 100 meters, 
Garrett Stewart (Forest Grove, Ore.) won the 800 meters, 
Samuel Cortez (Delhi, Calif.) won the 400 hurdles, Nikolaisen won the pole vault, 
Josh Huffman (Puyallup, Wash.) won the shot put and King won the hammer throw.
 
The Boxers will compete in one more meet prior to the conference championships.  They will travel to Portland next Saturday, April 14 for the Lewis & Clark Invitational.
