Sproul qualifies for NCAA Track & Field Championships
GENEVA, Ohio - The NCAA announced the fields for the Division III Track & Field Championships on Saturday and
Emily Sproul (Salem, Ore.) will be competing in the javelin throw. Â This will be the third straight year Sproul has qualified for the national meet. Â Last season, she threw a then personal best of 42.27m (138-8) to finish in seventh place and earn All-American honors. Â This season, Sproul improved her personal best to 43.34m (142-2) while winning the Northwest Conference title. Â Her mark is currently ranked ninth nationally.
The NCAA Championships will take place next Thursday-Saturday, May 25-27 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Â The javelin competition will take place on Thursday, May 25 at 3:00 pm EDT.
