McMINNVILLE, Ore. — A handful of Pacific track and field athletes wrapped up their seasons at the Linfield Open on a warm Saturday afternoon.

Jess Knoll placed fourth in the 400 meters, Emily Sproul was fifth in the javelin and Steve Allen crossed the finish line ninth in the 5,000 meters to highlight performances at Maxwell Field.

Knoll clocked 2:18.66 to finish fourth of 26 racers in the two-lap race. Katie McKay of Whitworth won the race in 2:09.65. Allen was in the middle of the pack in 16:38.38 in the 5K run won by Dylan Crevelt of Lewis & Clark, while Sproul threw 127-8 in a field of 28. Bailey Dell of Northwest Christian won the javelin in 146-6.

Sproul and teammate Mackenzie Huddleston will continue to work towards NCAA Division qualifying marks in the javelin in the next few weeks. Both are entered to compete at George Fox next Saturday.
