Throwers Top Pacific Efforts At Linfield Invitational
Box ScoreMcMINNVILLE, Ore. – Throwers led the day for the Pacific track and field teams in blustery and rainy conditions as the Boxers competed at the Linfield Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational, held at Maxwell Field.

Travis George (Sr., Grants Pass, Ore.) had the Boxers' highest finish in the throws, placing fourth in the men's hammer with a season best mark of 158 feet, 3 inches.Â
Jesse Bethke (Jr., Cave Junction, Ore.) took fifth in the men's discus with a throw of 132 feet, 7 inches.

Nathan Phillips (Fr., Myrtle Creek, Ore.) had one of two fifth place finishes in the javelin for Pacific, taking fifth in the men's competition with his throw of 152 feet, 7 inches.Â
Mackenzie Huddleston (So., Milwaukie, Ore.) was fifth in the women's javelin with her throw of 114 feet, 11 inches.

Kelli Aken-Pagdilao (Sr., Makawao, Hawaii) led Pacific in the sprint events, placing fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 13.28 seconds.Â
Kelsey Lee (So., Monrow, Wasg.) finished fourth in the women's 400-meter hurdles in a season best 1:08.26 while
Daniel Wagner (Jr., Kailua, Hawaii) was fifth in the men's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 58.24 seconds.

The men's 400-meter relay team of Sean Higginbotham (Fr., Phoenix, Ariz.),
Budweiser Hawkins (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.),
Aaron Koford (Sr., Wilsonville, Ore.) and
Kris Sapp (Fr., Sacramento, Calif.) placed third, clocking a season-best time of 43.42 seconds.

Haley Nevins (So., Fair Oaks, Calif.) added a fifth place finish in the women's 800 meters, just missing a season best at 2:24.71.Â
Ben Thomas (Fr., Tualatin, Ore.) improved his season best in the men's steeplechase with his fourth place time of 10:31.29.

Pacific now looks forward to their first full home track meet of the 2014 season. The Boxers will host the Pacific Luau Meet on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
