Exciting 1,600 Meter Relay Leads Three Pacific Winners At Linfield

McMINNVILLE, Ore. – An exciting, winning performance by Pacific's men's 1,600-meter relay team led three event winners for the Boxers Saturday at the Linfield Jenn Boyman Invitational, held at Maxwell Field.

Pacific succeeded in pulling ahead in a tight four-team race with the team of
Spencer Wilson (So., La Pine, Ore.),
Trey Oshiro-Atabay (So., Aiea, Hawaii),
Daniel Wagner (So., Honolulu, Hawaii) and
Sean Valente (Jr., Ewa Beach, Hawaii) winning with a season best time of 3:24.86.

The performance capped a trio of winning performances for the Boxers.Â
Rachel Schreiber (So., Longmont, Colo.) opened the day with her victory in the women's 1,500 meters, clocking a time of 4:59.60. She led a race that saw Pacific claim four of the top five places.Â
Jilinda Franklin (Sr., Fort Jones, Calif.) was second in 5:16.94.Â
Ally Shackelford (Jr., Portland, Ore.) finished fourth in 5:24.68 and
Sidney Davis (Fr., Redmond, Ore.) was fifth in 5:26.47. Schrieber also went on to finish second in the 800 meters in a time of 2:25.18.

Chloe Hallyburton (Sr., Dayton, Ore.) added the other first place finish, winning the women's 400-meter hurdles in a season best time of 1:11.34.

Tyler Shipley (Fr., Forest Grove, Ore.) added to the strong day for the Pacific distance corps, finishing second in the men's 1,500 meters in a time of 4:08.37.Â

Wagner was second in the men's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 56.45 seconds and went on to a fourth place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.76 seconds.Â
Kelson Kawai (Jr., North Kohala, Hawaii) placed third in the men's high jump, clearing 6 feet, 4 inches.

In the sprints,
Kelli Aken-Pagdilao (Jr., Makakilo, Hawaii) placed fourth in the women's 100 meters in a time of 13.01 seconds.Â
Anna Toyas (Jr., Seaside, Ore.) finished second in the women's javelin with a throw of 110 feet, 4 inches and teammate
Mackenzie Huddleston (Fr., Milwaukie, Ore.) was just behind with a throw of 110 feet, 2 inches.Â
Jesse Bethke (So., Cave Junction, Ore.) added a third place finish in the men's discus, going 137 feet, 7 inches.

Pacific now looks forward to their first full home meet of the season. The Boxers will host the Pacific Luau Meet on Saturday, with competition beginning at 9 a.m.
