EUGENE, Ore. – Hurdlers Michael Hunker (Jr., Cornelius, Ore.) and Daniel Wagner (Fr., Kailua, Hawaii) led the way for a small contingent of seven Pacific athletes who earned entries into the prestigious Oregon Preview Sunday, held at Hyaward Field on the University of Oregon campus.

The pair each put together seventh place finishes in their sections of the 110-meter hurdles on a day when the Hayward Field crowd saw an interesting weather combination of sun, wind, rain, snow and hail.  Hunker finished with a season best time of 15.54 seconds in the first section, while Wagner had a season best time of 16.08 seconds.

Michael Zane (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) scored a sixth place finish in the second section of the 200 meters in his first ever Hayward Field meet, registering 22.97 seconds.  Kelson Kawai (So., North Kohala, Hawaii) placed eighth in the high jump with his leap of 6 feet, 1.5 inches, while Jerry Sanchez (Jr., Mecca, Calif.) was 24th in the 3,000 meters with his time of 9:05.97.

Rachel Schreiber (Fr., Longmont, Colo.) was Pacific's only female competitor in the meet, running in a loaded 3,000-meter field that included a pair of Oregon athletes and two potential Olympic Trials qualifiers in Oregon Track Club Elite's Sally Kipyego and Julia Lucas.  Schreiber placed 21st in the race with a time of 10:42.43.

Pacific will return to action next weekend when they compete in the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open on Firday & Saturday.
