Meet Entry Information

Pacific Twilight - May 2

Entries are now being accepted for the Pacific Twilight Meet on Fri., May 2 at Lincoln Park Stadium.

ENTRY DEADLINES
All entries must be registered through the Direct Athletics Web site no later than Tue., Apr. 29, at 9:00 p.m. Final scratches are due by Thurs., May. 1, at noon. Scratches MUST be e-mailed to Tim Boyce, boyc3710@pacificu.edu. No additions or entries on the day of the meet will be accepted, so please enter athletes only in the events in which they plan to compete. ALL ATHLETES MUST BE COLLEGE AGE OR OLDER. NO EXCEPTIONS.

ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is $15 per person for all entries received by Apr. 29. Maximum charge of $150 per gender or $300 for combined men/women. Please make checks payable to Pacific University Athletics.

FIELD EVENTS
The hammer throw (women first), javelin throw (women first) and discus throw (men first) will be contested at Linfield College's Maxwell Field. Weigh-ins will be from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. at the Ad Rutschman Field House, with competition beginning at 10:00 a.m. The shot put will be contested at Pacific at 5:00 p.m., with weight-ins beginning at 4:00 p.m.

  • Athletes will have four throws and four horizontal jumps
  • There will be no finals
  • All efforts will be measured
  • Athletes will report to the field event areas 15 minutes before competition

    • RUNNING EVENTS

  • Report to the clerking area AT LEAST 30 MINUTES before event start time
  • Heats & lane assignments will be determined by entry times
  • All athletes must run in their assigned heats/lanes. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS

    • RESULTS
    Results will be posted within the stadium as they become available. Results will also be posted on the Pacific Athletics Web site following the meet. A HTML file of the results will be sent to sports information directors at all participating schools. Hy-Tek Meet Manager back-up files and Team manager results files will be sent to all Northwest Conference schools (and any other school that requests it) following the meet.

    MISCELLANEOUS

  • Dressing room and shower facilities are available in the Pacific Athletic Center, just south of the track. Athletes must supply their own towels
  • Training room/trainers will be available starting at 1:00 p.m.
  • Facility allows 1/4-inch spikes maximum on all track surfaces. No exceptions

    10:00 a.m.: Women's Hammer (followed by Men's Hammer)
    10:00 a.m.: Men's Discus (followed by Women's Discus)
    10:00 a.m.: Women's Javelin (followed by Men's Javelin)

    At Lincoln Park Stadium
    FIELD EVENTS
    2:00 p.m.: Women's Long Jump (followed by men), Men's Pole Vault (followed by women), Women's High Jup (followed by men). Women's & Men's Triple jump will follow the long jump.
    5:00 p.m.: Women's Shot Put (followed by men). Weigh-in implements at 4:00 p.m.

    Running Events (Fast Sections Followed By Slow Heats. We Will Run Ahead If Possible:
    3:00 p.m.: Women's 3,000 Meter Steeplchase
    3:20 p.m.: Men's 3,000 Meter Steeplechase
    3:40 p.m.: Men's 400 Meter Relay
    3:45 p.m.: Women's 400 Meter Relay
    3:50 p.m.: Women's 1,500 Meters (3 heats)
    4:20 p.m.: Men's 1,500 Meters (4 heats)
    5:00 p.m.: Women's 100 Meter Hurdles (2 heats)
    5:15 p.m.: Men's 110 Meter Hurdles (2 heats)
    5:30 p.m.: Women's 400 Meters (2 heats)
    5:40 p.m.: Men's 400 Meters (3 heats)
    6:00 p.m.: Women's 100 Meters (3 heats)
    6:15 p.m.: Men's 100 Meters (3 heats)
    6:30 p.m.: Women's 800 Meters (2 heats)
