Hailed as one of the nation's premier semi-private golf courses, the Ghost Creek course at the famed Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is the home to Pacific's men's golf team, and is the site of the annual Pacific Invitational men's golf tournament.

Ghost Creek's Robert Cupp-designed layout emulates traditional course architecture with rolling terrain and a creek that reappears throughout. The course has developed a reputation for challenging even the best golfers. Ghost Creek's No. 9 hole (shown above) and No. 18 hole were rated in 1993 as the toughest holes on the Nike Tour.

Since it opening in 1992, the Ghost Creek course has met with critical acclaim by the golfing public. It was rated in 2000 as the No. 22 course in Golf Magazine's "Top 100 Places You Can Play in the U.S.", and was ranked No. 39 on that list in 2002. When it opened, Golf Digest named Ghost Creek the best new public course in the nation.

Ghost Creek played host to the 1993 and 1994 Nike Tour championships and will host the the 2006 U.S. Senior Open.

Pumpkin Ridge has become known as Oregon's championship golf course. The club hosted the 1996 U.S. Amateur Championship, won by Tiger Woods, the 1997 U.S. Women's Open and the 2000 U.S. Junior Amateur. In 2003, the club's private Witch Hallow course will host the U.S. Women's Open.
